September 23rd, 2012The Surfboard Project
July 9th, 2012The Surfboard Project is a attempt to archive photos of surfboards shaped by the worlds most renowned shapers. Currently, there is no one place on the net that has attempted to archive the enormous amount of surfboards found in peoples garages, old barns, on walls, up in rafters and surf racks.
This project is currently in its infancy and needs your help. If you have pictures of boards your interested in submitted to archive on this site please email to surfboards@thesurfboardproject.com
Check out the website here at thesurfboardproject.com. It will become an online surfboard museum.

December 21st, 2011BeardArt on Hollow Wooden Surfboard
October 9th, 2011Here are some of the pictures of the collaboration of Matt Beard and Taiyo Surfboards. Matt is finishing up this board at the Board Art Benefit which will be held at the Sacred Craft Del Mar. The board is an 8′10″ gun, made of redwood, western red cedar, and Port Orford cedar.
Before the board left Humboldt for Del Mar, it was displayed at Salty’s Surf N Tackle in Trinidad for, like, 20 minutes. More of Taiyo’s boards will be shown at Salty’s without notice, so stop by the shop when you come to check waves in the Westhaven & Trinidad area. They have great coffee, and the staff are awesome.
