9′11″ Ceta

Ceta was born on the night of the winter solstice. It was a special night not only because of the solstice but also the total eclipse that coincided with it. The last total eclipse on the winter solstice was over 400 years ago or something crazy like that. I put the final layer of varnish right before the moon and the earth started to line up. This wooden surfboard will catch many waves to come, but it will never forget its connection to nature.

Handmade Box Fins

There are many advantages using replaceable fins. You can change fins depending on the condition. You can also adjust a fin by moving back and forth in the finbox.

If you are building a wooden surfboard with a fin box setup, you’ve probably wondered how you could avoid using molded plastic fins for your wooden surfboard. You could probably find wooden box fins somewhere on the web, but if you are handy enough to be building a wooden surfboard, why not build your own box fins? I will show you step by step how to build one in this post.
