7′0″ Swallowtail Quad
April 18th, 2011 at 0:01This is a recently finished 7′0″ Swallowtail Quad. The fins are made of mainly local hardwoods such as Alder and Tan Oak. The deck of this hollow wooden surfboard consists of Taiyo’s favorite lumbers: Redwood, Port Orford Cedar, and Western Red Cedar, all of which are sustainably harvested from our local forests.

Yohei I am loving this board. I have had it out in the water quite a few times now and really had some fun this last Friday and Saturday early in the morning. I love the way it feels under me in the water. It is fast and has magic momentum both paddling and planing. Wood is good.
Thanks

I’m happy to hear that you had fun on it, Ted. Everything feels different by just hugging wood under you in the water, doesn’t it? Wood is good. It is a natural stoke enhancer. I’ll see you out there soon!
